Full Time Assistant City Engineer

FULL TIME ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER

The City of Saline is accepting applications for a full time Assistant City Engineer. This position works under the direction of the City Engineer, serving to internally support the management of the City’s public infrastructure, which includes approximately 53 miles of water main, 43 miles of sanitary sewer, 47 miles of storm sewer, 35 miles of road, 3 bridges, a dam, a water treatment plant, a wastewater treatment plant, and 12 parks. The Assistant City Engineer will play a key role in coordinating acceptance of public infrastructure built during the private development process and in developing the City’s own non-motorized transportation and park projects. This position will serve as the internal point of contact for administering non-motorized transportation projects and park capital projects that are not otherwise associated with a larger capital project.

Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with experience required. 2 to 6 years of prior experience in a related field is preferred. PE, EIT, and GIS experience preferred. Opportunity for early career engineers to gain experience under a licensed PE. Starting wage is $57,165/yr to $67,253/yr DOQ with full benefits.
